Same subject.
A different learning experience for every student.

From the starting level to the way a concept is explained and the type of class they join, every decision is shaped around what the student actually needs.

At Alma Academy, we offer live classes in English, Math, and Science across Egyptian, Gulf, American, and British curricula.

Who is Alma?

One curriculum. More than one way to learn.

Alma is an educational academy built around the student, not around the assumption that the same explanation will work for everyone.

In the same lesson, one student may understand from the first example, another may need the idea explained differently, while a third understands the concept but struggles once it is time to apply it independently.

That is why repeating the same explanation is not always enough.

Then we decide where to start and how to approach the next step.

What do we teach?

Core subjects, taught with the student in mind.

  • English

From grammar and vocabulary to reading, writing, and application — based on the student’s grade level and curriculum.

  • Math

Understanding the idea behind the solution, learning how the steps connect, and applying them to different types of questions instead of simply memorizing a process.

  • Science

Making concepts easier to understand and connecting ideas together, so students understand the why before memorizing the what.

Available Curricula

  • Egyptian
  • Gulf
  • American
  • British

Who is Alma for?

Alma could be a good fit for a student who:

  • Needs to strengthen their foundation in a specific subject.
  • Understands during the lesson but struggles when solving independently.
  • Needs closer follow-up than a large class can provide.
  • Has specific gaps that need to be revisited.
  • Benefits from an explanation that can change based on their response.
  • Learns better when they have enough room to ask, try, make mistakes, and try again.

And for parents who are looking for more than simply “covering the curriculum” — they want their child to understand it better and build stronger learning skills along the way.

Why Alma?

Five things that shape every class.

  • Live Classes

    Real-time learning, not recorded videos.

Students can ask questions when they need to, while the teacher can see how they are responding to the explanation as it happens.

    Real interaction. In real time.

  • Individual or Small Group

The class format depends on what the student needs.

Some students benefit more from one-to-one focus. Others gain more from participating, asking questions, and learning alongside a small group.

The question is not: Which format is better? It is: Which format works better for this student right now?

  • Limited Class Sizes

Fewer students means more room to participate.

Students get more opportunities to ask, participate, solve, and receive meaningful attention from the teacher.

Groups typically range from 3 to 10 students, depending on the class.

  • Teaching Is Not a Fixed Script

If a student gets stuck, the teacher has room to adjust.

That could mean going back one step, changing the example, breaking the idea into smaller parts, trying a different application, or giving the student more space to work it out independently.

The method can change. The learning goal stays clear.

  • Multiple Curricula

Learning stays connected to what the student is actually studying.

Whether the student follows an Egyptian, Gulf, American, or British curriculum, the subject and curriculum are identified from the start so the learning experience stays relevant to their actual coursework.

Step Zero by Alma

Every learning plan needs a clear starting point.

Before deciding what comes next, we look at where the student is now and what they actually need.

That gives us a clearer starting point for the next step.

Start clearly. Then build from there.

Step Zero helps us understand:

  1. What is already solid?
  2. What still needs work?
  3. Where is the student getting stuck?
  4. What kind of support makes sense next?

Individual or Group?

  • Individual

A stronger fit when the student needs direct focus on specific areas, or more room to move at their own pace without being tied to the pace of a group.

  • Small Group

A good option when participation is part of the learning process — asking questions, hearing how others think, trying different approaches, and learning alongside a limited number of students.

Not sure which one to choose?

You do not have to decide from the start.

Once we understand the student’s level and needs, we can recommend the format that makes the most sense for where they are now.

What are we working toward?

Progress is more than finishing the lesson.

  1. Understand, not just memorize

Know why a step works instead of simply repeating it.

  2. Start independently

Handle a question even when it looks different from the example they practiced.

  3. Recognize what they need

Know when to continue, when to review, and where more practice is needed.

  4. Ask, try, and make mistakes

Without treating every wrong answer as a reason to stop participating.

  5. Build stronger foundations

So new concepts have something solid to build on.

Results naturally vary depending on the student’s starting point, consistency, subject, and individual needs. These are the learning skills Alma is designed to develop over time.
